Description

At Munkegärdeskolan, all our approximately 400 students are at the center.

We work based on the municipality's guiding principles: courage, respect, and co-creation. We strive for a good working climate that stimulates students' motivation, responsibility, and desire to learn.

Our school is a grades 7-9 school with a staff group of about 45 employees. We have a complete student health team consisting of school management, special education teachers, counselors, school nurses, and school psychologists. The school's career counselor works closely with the student health team to guide students in their future choices. Our students should be given opportunities to develop their best selves and gain good knowledge to feel secure about the future. One of our focus areas is teaching quality, which we work on through clearer systematization and analysis of teaching based on scientific grounds and proven experience. We systematically work to ensure that work teams collaborate on mentorship, planning, assessment, evaluation, and analysis of results as our central components.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to work and teach our students at Munkegärdeskolan in grades 7-9. We are looking for you, a teacher in mathematics and natural sciences, who has knowledge in your subjects as central as democratic values, student participation, and influence. We seek someone with great engagement, a positive attitude, and who enjoys engaging and listening to students, finding different solutions to meet individual needs while also adapting to the group's possibilities and conditions. We live in a dynamic world, and we strive for flexibility and a solution-oriented approach. We work for a non-prestigious work culture where we help each other, and the goal is that every student leaving Munkegärdeskolan should have a solid foundation for continued learning and a good life.

Formative assessment, evaluation, and feedback to students are natural parts of your teaching. You are confident that students feel a significant sense of participation and have real influence in your teaching. Through a conscious and cooperative approach, you create security, trust, and good relationships among our students. You have a good awareness of how your actions affect your surroundings.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach mathematics and natural sciences for grades 7-9.

You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and the values that permeate your daily work.

Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a peaceful study environment and a good learning environment for all our students throughout their school day. You are accustomed to planning and engaging students in teaching to create participation. Based on evidence-based research, you are interested in developing your teaching and being a driving force in the research and development work that the school has initiated and is working on.

You are a person who is good at collaborating and finding solutions while also taking significant personal responsibility. If you have just completed your teacher training, we offer guidance and mentorship from teachers at the school.
